Historical Delhi

Delhi has a proud history of hundreds of years and offers numerous cultural activities including dance and music shows. This incomparable city is made up of the seven ancient cities of the remains and ruins of different kingdoms. A New Delhi tour would therefore be incomplete without providing glimpses of its past represented by the superb monuments invaders of Delhi have left over the centuries. The Qutab Minar and its walls make up the first city. Amongst the most notable monuments of Old Delhi is the Red Fort built by special red sandstone. Chandni Chowk is another historical tourist place in Old Delhi where people visit for shopping.

New Delhi city has quite a few architecturally impressive buildings. Rashtrapati Bhawan is famous for the holding of the Republic Day parade. India Gate is a memorial whose green, velvety lawns are used by the young and old to enjoy their evenings and holidays. Laxminarayan Temple encompassed by a large garden and fountains behind it is a chief attraction. An eye-catching monument is the Bahai Temple also known as the Lotus Temple because of its resemblance to a lotus. Tourists to this historical city have a lot many international standard star hotels to choose from to begin their journey into one of India's most historical places.
